HEIDI CASTANEDA, MA, LPC
Co-founder of CARE, Licensed Professional Counselor
Heidi is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia (LPC006056). She graduated from the University of Alabama in 2003 with a BS degree in Psychology. She received her MA degree in Community Counseling from Argosy University in 2007. Since 2003, Heidi began her passion in the mental health field gaining valuable experience in working with children, adolescents, and adults in the individual, group, and family settings. Heidi is affiliated with ACA (American Counseling Association). Heidi's special interests include assisting clients in overcoming stress, anxiety, depression, trauma history, self-harm; grief from death or divorce; resolving conflicts and improving communication in relationships. Heidi believes incorporating CBT skills, identification/utilization of coping mechanisms, positive communication, and healthy mental and physical well being are all important tools in healing and in a happy, fulfilled life.
ELIZABETH WAITE, MS, LMFT
Co-founder of CARE, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Elizabeth is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Georgia (#001175). Elizabeth earned a BS in Public and Social Services with a minor in Psychology at Kennesaw State University in 1999 and a MS in Marriage and Family Therapy/Human Development & Family Studies (with a minor in international studies) at Auburn University in 2003. Elizabeth has experience counseling individuals, families, couples and groups in a variety of settings, including: outpatient mental health facilities, in-home therapy, and in child/adolescent residential treatment programs and group home settings. Elizabeth is a certified PREPARE/ENRICH premarital facilitator. She has always enjoyed work with adolescents, and has found her work with military families especially rewarding, however, helping all clients overcome their challenges is a gratifying journey addressing concerns related to mood and anxiety disorders, grief/loss, trauma recovery, adjustment, and self-destructive behaviors/choices. Communication, interpersonal skills, and self-awareness/self-care are essential building blocks of therapeutic techniques.
GIGI HUBBARD, MEd, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor
Gigi graduated with her M.Ed. in Community Counseling from the University of West Georgia, and she is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia (LPC005317). Gigi has worked for 20 years providing individual, group and family therapy for children, adolescents and their families in a variety of settings including residential, day treatment, outpatient & alternative school. She provides therapeutic intervention to address general psychological issues including grief/loss, mood disturbances, interpersonal relationships, conflict resolution, anger management, psychosis, etc. Gigi has also received specialized training in providing Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy to victims of physical and sexual abuse as well as neglect.
Gigi is only accepting new clients at the Cartersville location.
Bailey Freeman, LAPC
Licensed Associate Professional Counselor
Bailey is an associate Professional Counselor licensed in the state of GA. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at University of North GA in 2020, Masters program in 2022 at Mercer University, and internships at Youth Villages and Safepath working primarily with abused and traumatized children and adolescents and their families, as well as working with children who suffer from severe emotionally and behavioral disorders. While having much experience with children who are the "toughest of the tough", Bailey works well with those suffering from anxiety and mood disorders, and especially enjoys working with single adults making life changes, or wanting to live positive and healthier lives.
Meghan Dolan, LAPC, NCC
Licensed Associate Professional Counselor
Meghan Dolan is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) working towards her full licensure in Professional Counseling. Meghan graduated from the University of West Georgia in 2022 with her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Prior to being a therapist, Meghan received a Bachelors in Education from Georgia State University. She worked as a middle school band director for both Cobb County Schools and Atlanta Public Schools. She sees clients with various circumstances including those struggling with anxiety, depression, teens and young adults, life-stage transitions, career counseling, grief, sexual-assault and relationship issues. Her method mainly utilizes an Adlerian approach, believing strongly in the necessity of the principles of social connectedness, holism, self-actualization and goal-direction. In many cases, she also can utilize Person-Centered, Christian Counseling, and Relational Therapy techniques, depending on the clients needs. In Meghan’s free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and adorable fur children (two cats and a dog), kayaking, hiking, traveling and volunteering with the worship ministry at her church.
Erin Putnam, LAPC,NCC
Licensed Associate Professional Counselor
Erin is an associate Professor Counselor licensed in the state of Georgia (APC009084). She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Emmanuel University in 2019, Masters program in 2022 at the University of North Ga, and internship in community mental health working with kids and teens in an elementary and middle school setting. Erin loves to help individuals learn, heal, and grow toward their goals to feel self-assured and more in control of their lives. She is passionate about helping clients with life management throughout the different stages we all encounter. Through a Strengths-Based lens, she uses a blend of approaches such as: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy to discuss and explore strengths, values, culture, and more. Erin enjoys working with kids, teens, and adult clients who are dealing with stress/anxiety, life-transitions, perfectionism, people-pleasing, boundaries, communication, and school stressors.

Mark Butcher, MA, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor
Mark has worked in the helping profession in a variety of roles and settings: in schools, homes, inpatient and outpatient psychiatric facilities. He holds an MA in psychology from the University of West Georgia and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Mark's therapeutic focus consists in meeting the patient right where they're at and tailoring the treatment process to their specific needs and goals. To achieve this he relies on Person-Centered, Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive-Behavioral interventions.
